World-Famous BBQ, a great atmosphere, incredible staff. It started in the heart and mind of Bill Johnson, one of Arizona’s original showmen. Bill would ramble on to the people of Arizona almost every night until Midnight, and people would come from all around to dine and witness his broadcast.
One of the best AZ Restaurants. I continuously go back to this restaurant and receive the most wonderful service! The steaks are great! Try the 9oz Sirloin, medium, it's absolutely delicious! I would say its one of the best AZ Restaurants in the neighborhood.
All the dinners come with a bunch of sides that will keep the hunger monster away! The zucchini and onion rings are to die for & for dessert, Personal Sized Deep Dish Pie in various flavors (I love them all!) that is fantastic!
I'm really surprised Bill Johnson’s came up on a list of good BBQ spots in Phoenix. I had the babyback ribs and the sauce was no more than spiced up tomato sauce. If you want good BBQ go to a place that specializes in it!!!
From breakfast to dinner there food is delicious and filling! They have steaks and my favorite meatloaf. The wagon wheeler sampler will stuff you before your food arrives and there apple cobbler well it’s a must. The atmosphere is interesting too. As a kid I loved the saw dust on the floors and the bars on the windows like a western jail. The waitresses carry fake pistols and talk with accents.
If you live in Arizona, you've been to bill Johnson’s! It speaks for itself. Great restaurant! One of my favorites! Tons of history behind it!
The only complaint I can think of is we ate too much. I can't even tell you how much I love @BillJohnsons Phoenix restaurant location!!! The atmosphere alone would keep me coming back again. Pulled pork, beef brisket, and hot links, is the perfect combination, to get a taste of everything that is wonderful about Big Apple. It has a very comfortable dining room that is stylish and yet completely relaxed and welcoming. The service was attentive and knowledgeable.
Bill Johnson's is one of the best restaurants in phoenix where u can find the food is cheap & easy. It's cute, and a tradition, and also the food, the service is also very good. The wait staff is kind and helpful. The corn was sweet and really good and the sausage was great. I just loved the zucchini appetizer too!!! Love the sign outside though. I really enjoyed the relaxed feel of this place. Food was excellent. Service was good, staff friendly, wow, a great choice!
You forget you’re in Downtown Phoenix when you step inside. The sawdust makes it feel like you step into the old west. The food and prices are good. The whole family will enjoy this place.

Bill's is an ideal solid place for barbeques in Arizona. The breakfasts are way more appetizing and really, really cheap. Bill Johnson's is inexpensive and simple! We keep going back because it's fills the belly without emptying the wallet. The menu had a good variety of decisions , you can choose burgers, sandwiches, salads, and bigger plates, if you like. Their lunch special menu was a fair deal. The burger was extremely good and I liked the cobbler was excellent.

I know Bill Johnson's is legendary for its barbeque, but its breakfast cannot be beat. They have one of the finest country style breakfasts. Enormous portions, delightful, and terribly gratifying. I thought the hash browns were excellent you can't get it wrong with their breakfast. It's a good place to bring out of towners who want to eat at a cowboy type AZ place. We were particularly impressed with the freshness of each entree / appetizer. The nosh was great as was the service. Our waitress was excellent

You could definitely get a fancier meal in many other places, but the food you get for the price can't be beat. The place is like a museum of engaging western items, paintings and memorabilia everywhere you look. There are a few things comfortable about the place. You do not want to attend too long to sit, because there are such a lot of places to eat. Haven't ever been treated rudely at any point. Nice place.

I just love the staff ' outfits, which are complete with a gun belt and a cowboy shirt! The place is filled with ornamental western antiques, and let's not forgets the sawdust! The atmosphere is very fun and the food is better than any place else! I usually leave Bill Johnson's stuffed with amazing food and content memories. It's a great spot to take your family and friends! Best food in the town! Awesome service too!

I adore the breakfast at Bill Johnson's. I get the filet and eggs customarily. I am doing this because the steaks are delicious when teamed with the eggs they serve. Apple pie still the finest in city, youngsters enjoyed atmosphere, relaxing environment. Great lunch specials and also a great variety of food. Food is great and all for a very reasonable price. This is a wonderful place for families.

Bill Johnson's catered my daughter's wedding. They went and did an incredible job and were easy to work with. The menu we select was tasty and the service was exceptional from start to finish. We were given many compliments on the glorious dessert bar and other foods.

Good food! Open and Flexible to ideas, plenty of variety! Yummy Food that everyone at our marriage loved. My Maid of Honor announced it was the best wedding food she had ever had. They were flexible, pro and staff was great to work with. I might seriously recommend them to anybody. They made the marriage simple for the bride and her mother and father and fun for everybody.

Home of the best finger lickinest, bar-b-que meat ribs in the world. Seriously! It's been several years and one or two beef ribs later , I can still feel the mouth-watering, tender, pieces of beef, with that melt-in-your mouth feel. Definitely fantastic, and the cornbread muffins where not bad either!

Bill Johnson's Catering was totally fantastic. The planning was simple , the staff was pro and organized. Everyone who attended our marriage continues to comment on how tasty our food was. The food was fantastic and we were given many compliments during and following the revels.

We used Bill's for our engagement party. It was Extraordinary. The food was creative and delicious. I will tell it was all home-made. Bill's was so full of the most creative ideas. I was most impressed that staffs themselves had a meeting with us personally and help us plan a party I will be able to always remember. We are using Bill's events and catering for our wedding and after wedding-brunch too. I was shocked abt the food. It became so useful, professional and pleasant. Employees at our event were the best . They looked great and left our house emulate. I highly recommend them.

The staff took good care of our guests and paid special attention to my man and me throughout dinner. The organization was easy and took plenty of pressure off of us. We seriously recommend them!
